Arsenal football club were founded in 1886 with the name Dial Square, from the workers of Royal Arsenal, Shortley after they renamed the team to Royal Arsenal and upon turning professional in 1891 they renamed there selves again to Woolwich Arsenal. In 1913 Arsenal moved to Highbury and dropped Woolich from there name. In 2006 Arsenal moved to there current stadium named The Emirates.

His parents owned an automobile spare-parts business in Strasbourg, as well as a bistro in Duttlenheim called La Croix d'Or. Speaking of his upbringing above La Croix d'Or, he stated in an address to the League Managers Association.

He eventually picked up his first red card in a game against Southampton which after that he was consequently benched for a number of games until Thierry Henry was injured and Van Persie was re-introduced into the squad.

When the 2009 transfer window opened Arshavin was bought by Premier league team Arsenal. As Bendtner was born in Copenhagen he started playing football for his local clubs B.93 and Kjobenhvens Boldklub. Since playing for Arsenal Bendtner has received the Danish Talent of the Year in 2007.

Eduardo da Silva was born on the 25th of February 1983 commonly known as Eduardo, is a Croatian footballer who plays for English Premier League club Arsenal and his national team Croatia. Eduardo made his debut for Arsenal on the 19th of August 2007 in Arsenal's 1-1 draw at Blackburn Rovers. Ten days later, he scored his first competitive goal for Arsenal in their UEFA Champions League qualifier against Sparta Prague. On the 23th of February 2008, Eduardo suffered a broken left fibula and an open dislocation of his left ankle following a tackle from Martin Taylor of Birmingham City, for which Taylor was sent off. Eduardo was immediately taken to Hospital, where he underwent surgery. Gilberto Silva was the only person in the vicinity who spoke both Portuguese and English and was able to translate communication's from Eduardo to the medical team. Arsene Wenger initially called for a lifetime ban for the tackle but retracted his comments later. Although blame was aimed at Taylor for making the tackle, teammates and mentors stated that he would never do such an act deliberately. Taylor said he visited Eduardo in hospital and that his apology was accepted by Eduardo. However Eduardo could not remember Taylor's visit or even the tackle.

Manuel Almunia Rivero was born 19 May 1977 and is a Spanish footballer, who currently plays as a goalkeeper and vice-captain for Arsenal. Born in Pamplona, Navarre, Almunia started his senior career with Osasuna's reserve team in 1997, playing two seasons with the team in Segunda Division B. He went on to spend two more seasons in the category, with Cartagena and Sabadell, joining the top flight in 2001,02, with Real Club Celta de Vigo. However, shortly after joining Celta, Almunia was loaned out to Segunda Division side Eibar, where he spent 2001/02 as first-choice goalkeeper. During the 2002/03 season, Celta loaned him out to first-division club Recreativo de Huelva, where he played understudy to Jose Antonio Luque and Cesar, only making two league appearances. Almunia's debut in the first division came on 17 November 2002, following a red card to the latter, in a 3 nil defeat at Deportivo Alaves. He then returned to Celta, being loaned for the third and final time, now to Albacete Balompie on 1 November 2003. He made his club debut the following week, in a 1 nil loss at Malaga. Almunia achieved first-choice status, making a total of 24 league appearances until the end of the season, while helping Albacete finish 14th. Almunia has not played in any international matches, and stated on more than one occasion about his wish to play for England, but only provided that he didn't receive a call-up from the Euro 2008 winning Spain first.
